KING of the surf Ky Hurst had a vocal crowd at Alexandra Headland in a spin during Round 3 of the Nutri-Grain Series, with a last-ditch effort in his favoured swim leg that saw him rocket past defending champion and series leader Shannon Eckstein to win a memorable Round 3 of the Kellogg's Nutri Grain Ironman series.
Hurst made a charge towards Eckstein in the ski leg, only to be smashed about in the surf, dropping him back to last spot in the 10-man final.
After earlier fighting back to win his semi-final, Hurst looked gone for all money as he entered the swim at the back of the pack but a gutsy decision to try and ride the 2m surf into shore paid dividends as he made his biggest statement yet that the 'King was back'.

Kracka donated a Pink Lifeguard board to the Bondi Lifeguards for National Pink Initiative during the month of October to raise awareness for Breast Cancer
The one of a kind Pink Kracka Lifeguard board was displayed at Bondi Beach throughout the month of October. The Bondi Lifeguard Tower was “light up” Pink on Wednesday 30th September to raise awareness and Kracka is very proud to be involved with the Bondi lifeguards and the National Breast Cancer Association in this initiative.
The Pink Lifeguard Board was signed by the Bondi Lifeguards and then raffled off to raise some money for this very important association. Here are some pics from the the Bondi Rescue boys. |
